Hubbard Lake Coffee Roasters, LLC was established in the spring of 2004. In December 2007 the enterprise was purchased by North Country Candy and Gifts, an Alpena Michigan gourmet chocolate and gift shop. Our goal is to bring the finest, freshest coffees from around the world to Northeast Michigan and beyond. Our green coffee beans are carefully selected from their countries of origin by specialty coffee importers. We roast each batch of coffee by hand using an “Ambex” gas-fired, drum roaster at North Country Candy & Gifts in Alpena.
